The City of Bettendorf is once again teaming up with the Downtown Bettendorf Organization to host its Downtown Cleanup organized by XStream Cleanup. The event will take place on Weds., April 16 beginning at 12:30 with a free lunch provided at City Hall Plaza, 1609 State St., prior to the event. Register here to volunteer.
Supplies including safety vests, gloves, bags and garbage pickers will be provided. Free parking is available at Bettendorf City Hall, 15th Street Landing, and along any side street downtown.
Volunteers are encouraged to wear appropriate clothing, such as long pants and durable shoes.
"The Downtown Bettendorf Organization (DBO) is excited to be partnering, yet again, with the City of Bettendorf for the annual Downtown Cleanup," said Ryan Jantzi, Executive Director, DBO. "Downtown is the core of our city. It serves as the front porch to Iowa and is not only a business district but a neighborhood within the backdrop of the beautiful Mississippi River. Bettendorf is a great city with great leadership. This is our opportunity, as citizens, to give back to our community while spending time with others and enjoying the outdoors. Join us for a free lunch and help our community look its best as we prepare for the summer season."
